TV Ratings: 'Victoria's Secret Fashion Show' Rakes in Record Ratings at CBS

The drama got a 1.8 rating in the key demo, two weeks after its last original. KABC's "Eyewitness News" continues to be most-viewed 11 p.m. weeknight local La newscast. The Funnel 7 newscast was tops within the timeslot for that November sweep, calculating 404,000 overall audiences. A distant second within the half-hour was KCBS (Funnel 2) with 274,000, following by KNBC (Funnel 4) with 209,000. NBC Gives Full-Season Order To Grimm, Gives It Thursday 10 PM Tryout

Following a 2-script pickup last week, NBC has given new drama series Grimm a full-season pickup with a Back 9 order. The move comes after the rookie posted a 1.6 adult 18-49 rating this past Friday, even with the previous week to stop the show’s post-premiere slide. Additionally, NBC, which opted to keep Grimm in its original low-trafficked Friday 9 PM slot on the recently released midseason schedule, is giving the fairytale procedural a tryout in the Thursday 10 PM slot. A new Grimm episode will air on Thursday Dec. 8, followed by another original in the series’ regular Friday 9 PM berth the following night. This series is turning the traditional procedural drama on its head and is attracting a loyal following for us on Friday nights,” NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt said. “We love where its going creatively and were excited to deliver more episodes to our audience. Grimm exceeded expectations with its debut, which posted a 2.1 demo rating on Friday airing against Game 7 of the World Series. Its Official: NBC Picks Up Bryan Fullers Reboot Of The Munsters To Pilot

Universal Television is producing the project, described as an imaginative reinvention of The Munsters as a visually spectacular one-hour drama. Fuller originally developed The Munsters last season and his was one of very few scripts new NBC chief Bob Greenblatt kept in play when he took over the network in January. Word is that the network envisions the new Munsters as a potential summer or event series. TV Station Groups Plan Social TV Push with ConnecTV

NY - Some of the country's biggest TV station groups are set to launch a major social TV initiative next year. Silicon Valley-based start-up ConnecTV, a real-time social network built for TV viewers, on Tuesday said it has struck a deal with 10 broadcast groups with 201 stations, including ABC, CBS, Fox, NBC, CW and WB affiliates, in markets that cover 76 million U.S. homes. The TV groups include Belo Corp., E.W. Scripps Co., Gannett Broadcasting, Hearst Television and others. The partners said that a number of the broadcasters involved have made an undisclosed investment in ConnecTV, which offers a second-screen experience for Web browsers and tablets. ConnecTV allows viewers to interact with other fans watching the same program. It also provides a range of content and promotional opportunities related to the programs. The station partners plan to promote the new service on air and online. The broadcasters will have local advertising inventory appear within ConnecTV. "From its very beginning, television has always been a big part of the daily American discourse," said Alan Frank, president and CEO of Post-Newsweek Stations. "In this digital era, much of this dialogue now takes place on social media platforms. As local broadcasters, we love that people are talking about our shows." "Our mission is for ConnecTV to be the social network that empowers entertainment, news and sports fans to share the greatest moments in television," said ConnecTV co-founder Ian Aaron. "With over five billion TV viewers and the explosion of tablets and smart phones globally, we are truly at the beginning of a new way to watch TV."
